Hello, Creatives!

As main dude at 99% Perspiration, I’m the guy who presents & produces our podcast, and oversees this website.  I also run our Facebook network & Twitter account.

Outside of 99%, I’m an Academic Tutor at the University of Sunderland, and specialise in teaching audio & radio production.

I’ve won a few awards for my work, most notably for my audio drama SeaBurn, which won a Gold at the New York Festivals World’ Best Radio Awards in 2015.

I’m Ryan, I work for a festival for under 25s called Juice Festival.  The Juice Festival itself takes place in October half term each year, but I run the festival’s blog throughout the year writing about arts and culture in the North East.

I’ve recently been interviewing arts professionals in the North East asking for advice on how to move forward with a career working in the arts and Jay has kindly offered to sometimes repost them here, which is why you’re reading my bio right now.

As well as Juice Festival, I’m a member of the Curious Monkey Youth Board, a member of the Writing Squad and somewhere in the process of finally getting my Parallel Universes detective agency web comic made (with the help of artist Stephen Arthur).
